                                  SPRIGGING

Tee Spriggs and Sod.jpg (31880 bytes)

Sprigging or sodding is the only way hybrid varieties such as 419 Bermuda can be planted.  Sprigging rates vary but are usually 750 to 1000 bushels per acre.

419 Bermuda Grass is the premium athletic surface for fields throughout the Southeast.   During the months of May through September grow-in times can be as little as 6-8 weeks if the project is managed properly and weather permits.

Florida Carter's SOD FARM can provide 419 Bermuda Grass sprigs as well as extremely drought resistant improved Coastal Bermuda Grass sprigs for applications that do not have irrigation.
